Vacation Rates activated for vacancies of a minimum of 30 days.

The City of Grand Forks Utility Billing department requires 48 hours in which to schedule an appointment to have your water shut off. Please call our office at 746-2670 to schedule a time to meet the Water Distribution worker at the address to shut the water off. Your account will be charged a $20 Vacation Shut off fee when the appointment is between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm. Appointments scheduled between 7:00 am -8:30 am and 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm will be charged an additional $30.00 fee.

I understand that while on vacation rates, I will not be billed for the minimum service charge, wastewater charge, water charge and refuse charge. While on vacation rates, I will be billed for the mosquito control, flood protection and storm sewer charges. Upon my return, I will call the City of Grand Forks Utility Office to schedule a time for my water to be turned back on and for charges to resume. There will be no charge for turning the water back on, weekdays between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm.
